*NY
Yankees -162 over TORONTO (1:05 Eastern)
Coming
off a 2 out of 3 series against Boston, the
Yankees swept Tampa Bay and now go for the
sweep over Toronto. Boston fans don't want
to hear this but they get it. Jaret Wright
goes for the Yanks and he's been great on the
road this season (2.66 ERA with 3-0 record).
New York bats have come alive to the tune of
6.7 runs per game on their current win streak.
New York loves facing lefties like the cold
Ted Lilly, against whom they hit
.286. Wright is 32-13 in expected high scoring
games (total of 10+) since 1997. The Yankees
are hot, and motivated. One star on New York.
*BOSTON
-165 over Oakland (2:05 Eastern)
Boston
is finding ways to win low scoring games.
Scoring 6.1 per game at home on the season,
they've averaged just 3 per game over their
past seven. As we stated yesterday, Boston
beats Oakland consistently. The Sox are 20-10
over the A's the last three seasons including
5-1 at Fenway this season. Matt Clement has
struggled against Oakland historically but
he's pitching very well with a 1.282 WHIP
on the season (1.113 over the past three
games). Boston finds a way again today. One
star on the Red Sox.
**TEXAS
-135 over Seattle (2:05 Eastern)
Texas
has won four straight and again gets a horrible
road team in Seattle. The Mariners are 52-101
on the road over the past two seasons. Ryan
Franklin goes for the Mariners. He's 1-7
against Texas
with an ERA of 7.50! He's 6-22 as a road
dog over the past two seasons. Texas scores
5.8 per game at home and 6.0 per game
in
day
games
this season. The Mariners are 7-24 as a dog
of +125 to +175 this season. Any way you
slice it, Seattle shouldn't be getting less
than +150 on the road. Teams batting
.260 or worse on the season off 3
straight
losses by 2 runs or less are 12-34 (26%)
over the last 5 seasons. Two stars on the
Rangers.
