*COLORADO
+102 over LA Dodgers (9:05 Eastern)
Colorado
has won 7 of 11 with and went 5-4 on their
recent road stint. For what was the league's
worst road team, that's quite an accomplishment.
Colorado now returns home with confidence in
what is a very good pitching matchup. LA's
Jeff Weaver has been hot and is 13-8 on the
season. But Sun Woo Kim has been amazing for
the Rocks this year. He's got a 2.89 ERA on
the season. His big knock has been that he
doesn't last long. But, Colorado should provide
ample run support tonight for Kim. One star
on Colorado.
**LA
ANAHEIM -142 over Seattle (10:05 Eastern)
Seattle,
20-40 on the road this season, face a team
in need of wins right now. Anaheim is tied
with Oakland for first place in the AL West
and they're tied with the Yankees for the wildcard
spot. They can't afford a letdown in a game
they should win. They go with Paul Byrd who
is 5-0 with a 1.60 ERA vs. Seattle. He's been
great all year at home and this season he is
a perfect 8-0 vs. AL teams with an on base
percentage .320 or worse. Facing
him will be
Jamie Moyer who has done well of
late
but
really
only at home. He's not very good away from
Seattle as evidenced by his 3-5 record and
6.43 ERA. Seattle's been playing over their
head defensively with virtually no errors of
late. That can't continue. Road
underdogs with poor power (averaging
0.9 or less HR's/game), after
allowing
3 runs or less 3 straight games are just 30-92
(25%) over the last five seasons. Two stars
on the Angels here.

How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
my write-up on Bankroll
Management.
