Five Star Meeting
Overmatched
in two straight
Cal-Bred stakes,
Five Star Meeting
returns to
claiming company,
where she won
three back,
gamely battling
the length
of the stretch
by a neck.
She's also
won here at
Hollywood Park,
1 for 2, and
it must have
been a stakes
race, as the
winners' share
was 42K. With
Nakatani riding
back even after
those two bad
losses recently
and with every
likelihood
to rebound
to winning
form and go
win her 5th
race in her
13th dirt start,
she's the one.

- Jock hops
right back
on after getting
to know the
race horse
by riding last
time around
the track.
That's always
a helpful angle.
Rounding his
way back into
form. Each
of his finish
positions is
getting better
in his recent
starts. I really
like that latest
race on May
21st at Suffolk
Downs where
he ran second.
You have to
like that last
race speed
fig, 76, which
is the highest
most recent
race rating
of this bunch.

REAL PICKNICK
(ML=15/1)
REAL
PICKNICK -
Generally,
I don't play
a horse off
morning blow
outs alone,
but when I
see a filly
work at the
same distance
or longer than
a race she's
entered in,
I become interested.
With a big
class drop
in class figure
points from
her April 24th
race at Tampa
Bay. Based
on that element,
I will give
this thoroughbred
the edge. -
REAL PICKNICK
- Based on
my knowledge,
a front runner
positioned
in an inner
post on a tight-track
in a short
race gets extra
points in my
book. Should
be in a good
spot coming
home.
