2004 College Football - Week 6

College Football Handicapping Fans,

Another very solid week in College Football last week. We won with the big 3-star NC State pick (they beat Virginia Tech outright as a +9.5 dog) as well as Michigan State and lost with Washington. Second week in a row that a very big dog won for us outright. Overall a 4-1 week on a star basis for +290 units.

This weekend I've got five games on Saturday.

Good luck!

This Week's Picks

*Texas A&M-4 (-110) vs. Kansas State (Check latest line | Bet game @ Bodog

Kansas State has played an easy schedule (3 home games against two patsies and Fresno state). After playing terribly against Utah, A&M has been great, holding their last two opponents to just six total points. As long as the Wildcats QB's are unable to throw the rock, the offense will struggle mightily. The defense is still strong but A&M has started to come along after the initial setback to Utah. Home teams in conference games off a blowout upset win by 21 or more points as an underdog hit 71% ATS. A&M has the rushing advantage on both sides of the ball which is huge in CFB. This is a statement game for the Aggies, and the Cats will have a rough go of it in College Station's Cathedral.

*BYU +3 (-110) vs. Colorado State (Check latest line | Bet game @ Bodog

Colorado State is in a state of rebuilding and everyone in the MWC wants their shot. CSU has done nothing this year with their only win coming against a 1-AA school. BYU has been playing great football this season, nearly beating Boise State on the road last weekend. BYU is looking to avenge a 58-13 loss last year. The wrong team is favored here. One unit on the Cougars.

*Auburn +2.5 (-110) vs. Tenessee (Check latest line | Bet game @ Bodog

Big matchup here of #8 vs. #9. I like the great running game vs. the very good passing game. Auburn is the best team in the SEC thus far and is averaging a ridiculous 210 yards per game on the ground. Tennessee has played well, but the young QB's will be tested throughout this game. Slight lean here due to the 8:00 pm start time in the Southeast.

**LSU +3 (-110) vs. Georgia (Check latest line | Bet game @ Bodog

Georgia has not played like a National Championship caliber team thus far this season. LSU has once again been domianant on defense which could spell trouble for David Greene who has had trouble with the Tigers in the past. LSU is 12-1 ATS (+10.9 Units) after playing a game as a home favorite over the last 3 seasons. LSU is 12-2 ATS (+9.8 Units) after outrushing opponent by 125 or more yards last game over the last 3 seasons. LSU is 13-3 ATS (+9.7 Units) after a win by 17 or more points over the last 3 seasons. Two units on the Tigers in this one.

**Colorado +7 (-110) vs. Missouri (Check latest line | Bet game @ Bodog

This is a bad line. Barnett's boys have some issues but this Mizzou team is not nearly what everyone thought. This game should be Mizzou -2. Colorado enters the game healthy and rested, which should spell trouble for Missouri's run defense. Barnet t always does his best when expectations are lowest. Colorado is 11-2 ATS (+8.8 Units) in road games when playing against a good team (Win Pct. 60% to 75%) since 1992. Colorado is 15-4 ATS (+10.6 Units) after gaining 7.25 or more yards/play in their previous game since 1992. Two units on Colorado to keep this closer than a touchdown.
