!NAME_COMMA!

After a few rough ones, we had a very good week, going 5-2 on a star-basis for +140 units.

This looks to be an intriguing weekend of college football. While not a lot is at stake in many of these rivalry games, pride will certainly be on the line. I've got picks in a few big rivalry games this weekend.

Good luck this weekend!COMMA_NAME!!

This Week's Picks

*Colorado +2.5 (-110) vs. NEBRASKA (Check latest line)

Neither of these teams has the kind of talent that put this rivalry on the map but much is at stake in this game. An NU loss will break their streak of winning seasons and will be the first time since the Revolutionary War that the Huskers would not be Bowl eligible. Who better to pour salt in the open wound than the team and coach that initially sent the NU program into a tailspin with a 62-36 romping three years ago in Boulder? Colorado's Bobby Purify will have a settle to score in his final collegiate regular season game. Colorado is 7-1 ATS in their last eight with the Huksers. They are also 5-2 as small home underdogs since '92 and they finish strong under Barnett - 7-1 ATS in the last three weeks of the season over the past three seasons. I like Colorado and the points for one star in this game (1%). (Bet game @ BoDog | Bet game @ BetOnline)

*Virginia +3.5 (-110) vs. VIRGINIA TECH (Check latest line)

Tech has had an increible season and has a chance at the ACC title with a win.Again, who better to spoil it than their in state rivals? UVA is as talented a team as their is the ACC and has a very legit chance at an outright win here. The Hokies impressed last week with a 55-6 trashing of Maryland but outside of that game and their mismatch against Florida A&M, they haven't been blowing teams out. In fact, they've won three games by less than a TD this year. Virginia Tech is just 8-22 ATS off a home win against a conference rival since 1992. How much did they leave it on the field last week? This will be a great game that will come down to the wire. One star (1%) on the Cavs here. (Bet game @ BoDog | Bet game @ BetOnline)

*****IOWA STATE -4 (-110) vs. Missouri (Check latest line)

The biggest home game in some time for the Cyclone program here. A win and McCarney's boys will meet OU for the Big 12 title game in Kansas City. These are two teams on drastically different paths of late. Missouri were the Media darlings of the Big 12 North heading into the season. They have been horrible, simply put, and many players including ballyhooed QB Brad Smith have jumped off Pinkel's sinking ship. TB Damian Nash told reporters this week that he could not wait for the season to be over. Hmmm. The Cyclones, on the other hand, started the Big 12 season 0-3 but have rebounded and seem to be a team on a mission. They have covered their last three games and four of their last five as well. ISU is 7-0 ATS in home games after allowing 4.5 or less passing yards per attempt last game since 1992. We go with the Cyclones in this huge home contest, against a Tiger team that has packed it in for the season, for five stars (5% of bankroll). (Bet game @ BoDog | Bet game @ BetOnline)

Betting Recommendations and Unit Tracking
My star ratings equate to the following betting recommendations for each pick. For tracking purposes on my site, my bankroll is assumed to be an even $5000.

  * (1 star) = 1% of bankroll (or $50)
  ** (2 star) = 2% of bankroll (or $100)
  *** (3 star) = 3% of bankroll (or $150)
  **** (4 star) = 4% of bankroll (or $200)
  ***** (5 star) = 5% of bankroll (or $250)
  ****** (6 star) = 6% of bankroll (or $300)

To determine your bet amount, you should simply use the percentages below, multiplied by your specific bankroll. It is my strong recommendation that you never bet more than 10% of your bankroll on any given game - ever! You should usually bet just a few percent. There are no such thing as locks. See my write-up on Bankroll Management.
