Week 12 College Football
We've got another interesting week in the College ranks. After taking it square in the chops over the past few weeks, I aim to get back on the winning track this Saturday and keep it going throughout the rest of the season. Headlining the game of this week is the Auburn / Georgia match-up. The only thing standing between the Tigers and the National hampionship is the Bulldogs of Georgia. I've got a premium pick in this one.

Some other trends of note for the weekend.

Michigan is 5-3 SU and 2-6 ATS in its last 8 games with Northwestern. Consider the Cats and the points in this tilt.

Alabama is 7-1 SU and ATS in its last 8 road games at LSU, so once again, look closely at the Crimson Tide here in what should be a very low scoring ball game.

Kansas State is just 2-11 ATS in its last 13 games at Colorado. This game has no meaning to anyone outside of Manahttan and Boulder, but the winner will go a long way towards Kansas City and the right to be demolished by the Big 12 South rep in the Big 12 title game. The Buffs have a good shot here.

This Week's Picks

**South Carolina +7 (-110) at FLORIDA (Check latest line)

Ron Zook's kids have jumped ship by now. The crappola has hit the fan in Gainsville. Super Steve ain't coming home and the faithful have quit loving this team for many reasons. Ron Zook will not be able to keep his troops together here, as they are not facing a UF Fraternity in a flag football game. South Carolina is 21-5 ATSwhen they score 22 to 28 points since 1992.. UF is only 6-6 ATS against the Gamecocks since 1992 and this Gators team is not nearly what most of their predecessors were. Like the Cocks to the tune of two stars here. Bet 110 to win 100 on South Carolina plus seven. (Bet game @ BoDog | Bet game @ BetOnline)

*Georgia +4 (-110) at AUBURN (Check latest line)

Auburn should have a tough go of it here, as the only defense comparable to the Dawgs is that of the LSU Tigers who gave the Auburn Tigers fits earlier in the season. Remember, it took a miracle fourth down conversion to beat the Tigers. I like the Dawgs for one unit here in what should be a classic ball game. The underdog is 8-4 ATS in the last 12 meetings between these two teams. Bet 55 to win 50 with Georgia plus the points. (Bet game @ BoDog | Bet game @ BetOnline)

***VIRGINIA -3.5 (-110) vs. Miami (Check latest line)

Larry Coker summed it up best last weekend when he stated that this is a precarious time for the Canes. None of these kids have ever really lost football games while in college. They have now been embarrassed twice in a row and it could have, and should have, been worse. There was little question as to who was the better team when Louisville visited Miami earlier this season. Now the Canes go into a very hostile environment to play a very good football team. This line should be closer to six but cannot be due to the public's love for the Canes. Bottom line is this Canes team has very little heart and may get run out of the building on Saturday. Brock Berlin is about as average of a college QB the Canes have seen since the days of Ryan Clement. Virginia is 43-23 ATS when they score 28 or more points since 1992 and 10-0 ATS in home games after playing a conference game over the last 3 seasons. The Cavs are also 13-3 ATS in home games when playing on a Saturday over the last 3 seasons, winning those game by an average of 18 points. Going with Groh's BOYZ here for three stars and an easy home romp of it. Bet 165 to win 150 on the Cavaliers. Also, check out a more detailed matchup analysis of this game on my site. *****Vanderbilt -2.5 (-110) at KENTUCKY (Check latest line)

Good God I'm a moron, but I love the Commodores in this spot and I mean love 'em. Kentucky is just 5-14 ATS in its last 19 games with Vanderbilt, and this may be the worst team UK has put in the field in the last twenty years although that is debatable. They've had some pretty brutal teams over the years. Vandy is 5-1 ATSin road games versus poor rushing defenses (those allowing >=200 rushing yards/game) since 1992. Kentucky is only 1-5 ATS vs. good passing teams with a completion pct. of 58% or better over the last 3 seasons. Kentucky is only 1-5 ATS after playing a conference game this season. Swallow...breath...swallow harder...Vandy for five units against the crap that is Kentucky Wildcat football in 2004. Bet 275 to win 250 on Vandy -2.5 (Bet game @ BoDog | Bet game @ BetOnline)
