BetPhoenix 100% Deposit Match! ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #9 (MR. PETERSON) - Ran well sprinting on the turf May 31 chasing the fleet "Missile" who has since come back to win another. This gelding has been working sharply for the past month and it looks like graduation day for him. 2nd pick: #1 (Soonasigetpaid) - Scratched the other day to await this spot. He has some speed and has also employed a stalking gear in several of his races. Draws the rail and his trainer (Mike Maker) will find a winning spot for him more sooner than later. 3rd pick: #4 (Living For This) - Firster by "Freud" has been drilling steadily for trainer Dom Galluscio who wins at a 16% rate with debuting runners. 4th pick: #2 (Federal Deposit) - He's finished second in six of his nine starts with all coming against tougher. Likes to race about mid-pack and try to make a rally, though he rarely makes up any real ground. Must be considered for the same race exotics. BELMONT PARK Race #3 at 2:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #1a (I PROMISE) - Part of a Bruce Levine trained entry she finished second beaten just a 1/2 length on June 3 at this level and distance. Effort was her best of three since returning from a very long layoff (11 months) earlier this year. Looks primed for her best. 2nd pick: #2 (Yo Karakorum) - Has good speed, likes to fight it out all the way, and filly draws the rail. She was only a 1/2 length behind the top pick in there June 3 encounter. Player. 3rd pick: #1 (Chicks are Better ) - The other half of the Levine duo. She has a lot of speed and has been very lightly raced (5-2-1-0). Win here on May 31 was impressive and she's been working fast since. Filly completes a strong entry. 4th pick: #4 (Olde Glamour) - Much more adept at going longer, she'll be racing well back here, but if all go, the pace could be lively allowing her a shot down the stretch. MONMOUTH PARK Race #5 at 2:40 PM Eastern Top pick: #2 (EXOTIC INDY) - The main speed and daughter of "A.P. Indy" should wind up on the rail after the break. Goes turf to dirt and she has a tremendous worh on June 28. The filly to beat. 2nd pick: #3 (Reamidst) - Sent here from Chicago after a late April debut at Hawthorne, filly moves to the fine barn of Jane Cibelli. Latest work is strong and believe she'll run well. 3rd pick: #5 (Princess Ballerina) - She stretches back out after finishing a "troubled" third at Belmont sprinting in the mud for $50,000. Daughter of "Read the Footnotes" moves from one good barn (Rick Violette) to another (Terri Pompay). She fits well here. 4th pick: #1 (Unbridled Essence) - Makes her second start back off almost a six-month layoff and will go turf to dirt for trainer Greg Sacco. Filly just missed in her debut last fall on the Meadowlands dirt and she draws the rail. Square price is part of the package. BELMONT PARK Race #6 at 3:30 PM Eastern Top pick: #5 (MILLER'S MINT) - He appears to be the main speed of this party and that's a dangerous element. Improving at this point, he looks very tough in this spot from on, or just off the lead if someone else takes the initiative. The top selection. 2nd pick: #4 (Pegasian) - Working sharply for his first race since May 16 when he finished second at this level going seven furlongs on the turf. Equally adept on grass or dirt, his work on June 8 was a real eye-opener. Dangerous foe. 3rd pick: #2 (Captain's Sword) - He's finished second in three of his last four for trainer Enrique Arroyo. Gelding exits his best race ever, a second-place finish at this distance facing $25,000 "open" claimers. Fits here and is a win threat. 4th pick: #3 (Chernobyl's Hero) - Consitent runner almost always puts in a late run and last out cleared the 2l condition running for $15K. This is a big step up, but he could hit the exotics. MONMOUTH PARK Race #7 at 3:40 PM Eastern Top pick: #3 (CHIT CHAT CAT) - Speedy filly tired late to finish second at Belmont May 28 in a starter-allowance her first race in two months. Trainer Bruce Levine has given her five weeks since that effort and she's been training well locally. The horse to beat. 2nd pick: #4 (All of Her Twist) - Shortens-up in distance and goes turf to dirt for the Kelly Breen barn. Stalker was sharp before the turf experiment and looms a late danger. 3rd pick: #1 (Behold a Lady) - Consistent mid-pack type draws the rail and should receive a nice ground saving trip before launching a late bid. Could crack the exacta. 4th pick: #2 (Reen) - Nice second place finish last out at this level in her second back off a seven-week break. Effort was her best since the summer of last year and a repeat of it makes her an exotics factor.
